[he rolls his eyes and throws a fry at her as if they weren't just having a conversation about killing people. ]

[The fact that it might not stay that way is cause for concern, but really - what the hell could happen? She catches the fry and eats it, and ultimately shrugs.]

[The fact of it not staying that way is all up to her, really. He trusts her and like he said, that's not something that comes easily for him. Don't break that trust and they'll be golden. He doubts she ever would, though. Why would she? ]

[Fake it till you make it is a motto she lives by. She makes a face, hiding how relieving that is. She can choke down a chili dog if it means getting out of a favor.]

[She lifts the burger in one hand.]

[This is the most ridiculous conversation he's had all week and you know what? He probably needs it]

I mean, you could always just owe me something way worse somewhere down the line, but I'm really hoping you do this instead.

[Jason laughs, then steals some of Selina's fries and dips them into the ketchup that has dripped out of her burger]

There can't be more than one all-American food item, that's how. [She grabs for the fry he snags, just missing it.]

[He smirks, sitting back and crossing his arms]

I ate them all. I was waiting here a long time for you.

Ugh. That's a low blow.

[She rolls her eyes at him, to cover the smile that pulls at her lips. Because a second later she's tossing another fry at his face.]

[He opens his mouth, pushing up out of his seat a little to catch it.]

It's nice to have fries thrown at me instead of knives.

[She tosses another - higher, this time. She's testing him.]

I'd ask is that how you treat your business partners, but I'm already pretty positive it is.

[Even though they're more like friends, but whatever. Jason doesn't walk around telling people they're his friends. What he does do, is track the fry with his eyes and catches it in his mouth]

[Selina has considered two people her friends for most of her life, so at least they're in the same boat of not wanting to call things the way they are.

When he catches the second fry, she takes it at a challenge. The next one gets flung from the side, immediately followed by another pelted up at his face.]
